Cecilia Berkovic

Cecilia Berkovic is a visual artist who received her BFA from Concordia University in 1993. Her art practice employs strategies of collecting and displaying to explore notions of love, consumerism, compulsion, and desire. She often uses daily activities and commonplace objects to inform her work as either backdrop or source material. Recent exhibitions include Art-Throb: The Culture of Obsession at Articule in Montreal, First Comes Love at the University of Rochester’s Harnett Gallery, and Got it, Got it, Need it, Got it at the Art Gallery of Ontario. She currently lives and works in Toronto as a graphic designer and is a consistent member of the art collective Instant Coffee.
