Decoy, consisted of two harpsichords, a soundtrack, and drawings. The harpsichords, each one an object indicative of elegance and anticipation, are central elements of the installation. Decoy invited us to question precise utility, and the co-existence of beauty and reason.

Michael Maranda
Michael Maranda is a visual artist and ex-academic currently living in Toronto. Originally from Saskatchewan, he has studied at Concordia Univeristy, the University of Amsterdam, and the University of Rochester. Decoy would not have been possible without the generous assistance of the Saskatchewan Arts Board, the Banff Centre for the Arts, and the invaluable advice of Claviers Baroques.
