YYZ Artists’ Outlet is an artist-led organization. We have always been artist-led, and we will always be artist-led.

To us, being artist-led means that our commitment is everything to each other. By supporting the work of our community, we create an environment in which artists are able to produce and show new work—to try new mediums along with new ideas, to push themselves to experiment, and to offer new interpretations of what our art can be.

Canadian artists need a way to organize with each other. This is especially important in our city of Toronto, which has a vibrant history of artists and their artwork, as well as an ongoing struggle with inequality and inequity.

By committing YYZ Artists’ Outlet as an artist-led organization, we are committing ourselves to a present where creativity can flourish and a future where all artists are supported at all stages of their career.
