This exhibition combines a large-scale video projection with a sculptural component. The video, shot in Sarajevo in 2001, documents Licha’s performance in a bombed-out building. Crawling through a hole and back again, Licha mimics the violence of war and its effect on a community. At YYZ, Licha will construct a wall similar to the one in the video. Viewers may pass through it in order to enter the gallery and to view the video.
This exhibition was made possible with the generous support of the Consulate General de France in Toronto.
