online verdana;”>When modern urban life brought light into the night, nurse starry skies were moved to the planetarium. Planetarium is a science fiction comedy concerned with the cosmos that surrounds us and the universe that exists inside our heads. It is also a whimsical post-fin de sicle ode to the death of utopia as embodied by the American space exploration program of the 1960s. Planetarium explores current cultural obsessions with ufology, extraterrestrials, technology and outer space. Henricks contemplates the infinite, ever-expanding darkness with tiny flashlights, glow-in-the-dark astronauts, spirals, eyeballs, disco balls and spinning tops.
