Through conversations with several Indigenous people who have lived in Saskatchewan, Cuthand follows the common thread of experiences with anti-Indigenous racism. Saskatchewan has an Indigenous population of 13.5%. Cuthand discovers personal stories which illuminate the difficult moments of trying to thrive in a racist province, from encounters with the police to issues in the workplace.

Theo Jean Cuthand
Theo Jean Cuthand has been making short experimental narrative videos and films since 1995 about sexuality, madness, Queer identity and love, and Indigeneity, He holds a BFA from Emily Carr University of Art and Design and an MA in in Media Production from Toronto Metropolitan University. Recent exhibitions include: Queering the Crip, Cripping the Queer, Schwules Museum, Berlin Germany, 2022; Actually, the Dead Are Not Dead, Total Museum, Seoul, South Korea, 2022; Actually, the Dead Are Not Dead: Techniques of Becoming, Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart, Stuttgart Germany, 2022; Whitney Biennial, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, NY, 2019; Niigaanikwewag, Art Gallery of Mississauga, Mississauga Ontario, 2019. He has made 32 videos and films and counting. Currently he has a feature film in development. He is a trans man who uses He/Him pronouns. He is of Plains Cree and Scots descent, a member of Little Pine First Nation, and currently resides in Toronto, Canada.
