Seth Scriver’s installation at YYZ provides a window to the world of story telling and he has an art for doing so.

‘So Seth tell me a story.’

‘Hey Jade, here’s a story:

One night when I was around twelve some dude cut his leg on a window up the street from where I lived. He musta been bleeding pretty badly cause he was leaving one bloody footprint as he traveled through my neighborhood. In the morning my friend and I found the footprints and decided to follow them. Blood droplets started at a broken store window which eventually turned into footprints which went all around the neighborhood. At one point the guy had jumped the fence in behind my house and sprayed blood all over one side of my parents car, I guess he’d cut his artery for that kinda spray action. We followed the footprints for a while and they ended in a big dried up puddle of blood a few blocks down the street.

I have some other stories if you don’t like that one.’
And he does, written on the walls of YYZ’s Window space from January 5, 2005 through February 12, 2005.
